well i had a strange sort of day yesterday,it all statred about 4.20 whilst travelling back from site.the vehicle i was travelling in was pulled over by the police for no insurance when the driver produced his documents it turned out it wasnt insured and the vehicle would be impounded and the 3 of us would have to get our own way home. this made me late home to take the dogs out for their walks,so my gf said she would do it.this is were it gets sad beyond belief.she was walking along a busy road in our town with the 2 dogs on leads, when suddenly opal(the youngest out of the 2 lhasa's)chased a cat under a parked car, whilst maxwell(our rescue dog scared of his own shadow) was being baked at by two other dogs. max suddenly bolted and ran into the road while still on his retractable lead and under a car he was killed instantly and my gf watched the whole thing in slow motion.needless to say my gf and i are in bits not to mention the rest of the fam.max was a strange kind of dog he loved being in the house (he was treated badly by previous owners) and he was afraid of other dogs as he was attacked by another dog when we first got him.it took him 2 months to let me spet him and stuff he wasnt a very trusting dog but we made him happy for the 5 years we had him so rest in peace little man i will never forget you
![]() max is the white one in the rear of this pic ps if anyone on here is good at making sigs hit me up as i would like one making i will supply all the pics

![]() There is sorrow enough in the natural way From men and women to fill our day; And when we are certain of sorrow in store, Why do we always arrange for more? Brothers and sisters, I bid you beware Of giving your heart to a dog to tear. Buy a pup and your money will buy Love unflinching that cannot lie-- Perfect passion and worship fed By a kick in the ribs or a pat on the head. Nevertheless it is hardly fair To risk your heart to a dog to tear. When the fourteen years which Nature permits Are closing in asthma, or tumour, or fits, And the vet's unspoken prescription runs To lethal chambers or loaded guns, Then you will find--it's your own affair-- But ... you've given your heart to a dog to tear. When the body that lived at your single will, With its whimper of welcome, is stilled (how still!) When the spirit that answered your every mood Is gone--wherever it goes--for good, You will discover how much you care, And will give your heart to a dog to tear. We've sorrow enough in the natural way, When it comes to burying Christian clay. Our loves are not given, but only lent, At compound interest of cent per cent. Though it is not always the case, I believe, That the longer we've kept 'em, the more do we grieve: For, when debts are payable, right or wrong, A short-term loan is as bad as a long-- So why in--Heaven (before we are there) Should we give our hearts to a dog to tear?

PETS
its so heartbreaking when we loose them, but the good times and the unconditional love and affection they show us is what makes it worth while. i know that the day we we found max and opal was the best and i know we gave max 3 of the best years he ever had(we went to get max from a lady whom rescued lhasa's he was playing with a little bundle of fluff called opal and we just couldnt split them up so we ended up with both of them)
