Yeah this has been around for as long as I can remember. The files on a HD are never really deleted unless there is something written on top of where it was on the disk.

Why can't I download? - "leeching forbidden you are only allowed to seed" If you have downloaded over 2GB and your ratio has dropped below 0.50 you will not be able to download. Solutions 1) Leave a completed torrent in your client until you have uploaded enough data to bring your ratio up to 0.75 2) Upload a torrent of your own and seed until your ratio is 0.75 or higher. 3) Donate to the site and gain Premium membership Please let me know if my torrent or links are dead

Glad that worked for you Claret. That is a solid prog and if it hasn't ben corrupted yet restores it amazing. Trashed a season of Dr Who after I thought I had burned it off and used it to recover them all. Restores video files to playable condition, even with missing data.

I lost 320GB of comics because XP suddenly decided to only make 160GB of the HD visible one winter day.
So I took it to a technician to see if he could get XP to display all sectors once again. Impressed on him that important data was stored on it. But the moron formatted it anyway to see if that solved the capacity problem !!!! It didn't. And the guy is breeding ! So I got it all back with the same limited 160gb but now all blank. * just remembering stresses me out; hyperventilates into a brown paper bag * So, I used Recover My Files. It recovered standard file types ok (AVI, RAR, etc). But all my comics were with CBZ (renamed from ZIP) and CBR (renamed from RAR) extensions. Although the content of the files never changed, it was unable to restore them correctly. It recovered them but they were no longer viewable. So I then renamed them back to ZIP / RAR, they still couldn't be opened. So I read the first line of the file in a text editor which showed that the file-type was lost completely (usually the file-type is stored near the beginning of the first line) ... even though it was supposed to be a complete byte-by-byte restoration. Never made sense to me. Just saying that, for file types not in its list... that might be a little exotic... it has no clue. Sadly enough. ![]()
