Hi all , just finished ridding my computer of a horrible spy called xp antispyware2008. I have never come across such an annoying piece of spyware ever. Being a new thing for me , i thought i may try and type in antispyware2008 removal. Ended up with something i thought i could remove it with. It turned out to be the same company.It was finally eliminated by my spybot SD but only after i set it to scan before everything loads on screen.
Now i am tracing it back to where it came from and i think i shall be watching my teens more closely from now on.
Good old spybot.

if the software seems to lag your system down at all like it does to mine i just do this


install > update > run full system scan > remove unwanted spyware > remove the app

then every month or if i think i got some on my system i just do the same

I've seen XP Antispyware 2008 on someone else's PC. I thought it was proper trialware until I looked it up later when I got home. I must say it was annoying. Every few minutes it flagged some false problem or attack and asked to be upgraded/bought.

Do you ever use SpyWareBlaster? It's not a program that scans for spyware & does not remove any spyware either. But it works much like Spybots immunise in that it alters certain settings to prevent some spyware, adware, browser hijackers, and dialers from effecting your PC. 1) Leave a completed torrent in your client until you have uploaded enough data to bring your ratio up to 0.75

i tried spyware doctor once and i couldn't get the crack to work right...

this WRATH version i have tested and its easy to crack, just copy the patch over into the install dir run then run the WRATH patch the open the program...easy RacinG

Hi Claret, thanks for the support. I finally worked out where i was going wrong. I was extracting the crack to a seperate folder instead of just extracting right there. Anyways it works and got rid of some adwares i wasn't aware of. Thanks

Hi fynstee,I have seen my son use spyware blaster. I didn't pay much attention to it at the time as i was using ordinary spybot. Will check it out . Thanks

for windows i use spybot search and destroy and adaware

and adblock plus extention for firefox

all are free and work just as well as their pirated cousins

spyware blaster has worked wonders for me,i used to get 15-20 infections a week,now i get 2 when scan with zone alarm and SBSAD

the adblock plus cuts my spyware down to 0 per week .. prolly around 2 or 3 a month is picked up on spybot nothing usally with adaware

I agree, i use the same programs and very very rarely get any trouble.
