Follow these steps and it is quite simple to remove those annoying ads from Yahoo messenger:

1) Start Menu-->Run-->regedit : click ok
2) Navigate to HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\ Yahoo\pager\YUrl
3) Create a new "string value" named "Messenger Ad" (no quotes) that has the value * (an asterisk)
4) Rt Click YUrl --> new--> key and make the following keys with '*' as the value data:

Webcam Upload Ad
Webcam Viewer Ad
Webcam Viewer Ad Big
Webcam Viewer Ad Medium
Change Room Banner
Conf Adurl
Chat Adurl

Now you will not see anymore ads Now I made it easy for you. Just close out Yahoo, download this attachment zip, unpack and run the .bat file (which is just an automated function of the above, nothing fancy or sneaky) and execute it. No More Ads!!!!

jerry can you also remove these adv from paltalk, if so can you help with this too please...

Paltalk is an ad-based IM client and there is no way to maintain function removing the ads except for upgrading to the Full Paid Version. As of a couple days ago, update to Version 9.4 and Basic users now have the option of removing banner ads in IM and Chat Room windows by installing the free Ask.com Toolbar. (Jerry says don't do it!)
