Hi Guys, just thought I would share an issue I had with Flashget 1.9.6 and rapidshare.

I was downloading a file 97mb it got stuck at 99.9% I had 5gb of rapidshare quota left, and I lost the lot... Logs all say that it came from my IP. of course rapidshare were ever so helpful .... NOT!!!!! they said that I should use their RSM, but only support it on VISTA and when I said I use server 2003 and it doesn't work then they shrugged their shoulders.

I've gone back to classic version to see if it happens again.

I also re-set my password as a just in case someone else got it, but they would of had to of cloned my IP.

the cynic in me says, in other words RS could take your GB and say tuff, cos all my machine reports say for the 12 hours it was stuck only about 50mb was downloaded.

I have had files stuck at 99% before but never lost 5GB (just the size of the file when I download again), I'd definitely say an error on their part

That's the trouble with RS they always say that they are not to blame as if they and their system can do nothing wrong, like when you can't get on to their site they always say to contact your isp about your connection but browsing other sites works fine.

They are useless at support.

they are becoming useless @ anything else too..they keep changing the damn download restrictions...can't even get a damn dvd-r anymore!

There are other, much better, sites. Rapidshare is the only site I know of that has the annoying 2 minute delay for free users and stupid captchas like "count the number of effing cats with letters stuck up their ass". I don't understand why everyone continues to use rapidshare and not the better alternatives.
