as far as fed prison, they now make prisoners serve atleast 80% of their time. a few years back it wasn't like that. I think thats the difference between fed prison and state prison. you have to commit high profile crimes and/or postal crimes or osmething like that to grant yourself a stay at fed prison. state prison houses drug dealers, traffickers moving a certain amount of drugs and the type of drugs their trafficking, murderers, rapers etc. thats where the "hard time" comes in, state prison. feds, wayyyyyy more relaxed. I've got a brother in feds right now, he says its like a vacation you can't leave from.....
